The Doctor tried to peek over her shoulder at the map, but all he saw was squiggles and a mess of shapes and words. Right before he was about to give up, River told him the directions of the map. Before the Doctor could respond, he found himself being dragged by River to the museum.
“River,” he said. ”I don’t even know what museum we’re going to!” He watched as her blonde curls bounced and shone in the sunlight. He began to say something, but they were already at the museum. ”Oh, look at that!” the Doctor said in amazement. ”That was surprisingly quick!” Looking at River skeptically, he said,”Did you use your old vortex manipulator to get us here quicker? I thought I took care of that..”
“Oh, why would I do that?” River asked sweetly, batting her eyes at him. “And what do you mean, took care of? You can’t get rid of my only way out of the Stormcage, Doctor,” she said sternly. She didn’t want to be stuck there while the Doctor ran off to marvelous places. She deserved some adventure too, didn’t she?
“Come on, it doesn’t matter how we got here. Let’s go enjoy it, shall we?” she said, taking his hand and tugging him indoors. She pulled him straight into the Vincent Van Gogh exhibit, smiling brightly. “You said he was an old friend, right?” she asked. “I’ve always loved his paintings.”
